Lessons I Teach Myself

If you are not familiar with the craziness the US has had to endure with Trump as its president in the last four years in general and in the last seven months of Covid in particular, you must be living under a rock. Or maybe you are completely disconnected from digital media, information and human beings, really. The racist narcissist in the white house has done despicable damage to the people he is supposed to serve. In too many ways that I care to specify in this blog. And as of today, more than 211,000 people have died from Covid under his so-called 'leadership.'
I, like so many others, have gone through the scope of feelings of rage, contempt, bewilderment, disgust, depression, agony, fury, agitation, shock and utter madness over this dangerous clown and the political and social state of this country. But as we are nearing the long-awaited election, and Trump is a Covid patient himself now, one feeling word keeps coming up. It all feels just.... SURREAL. Surrealism (noun) *The principles, ideals, or practice of producing fantastic or incongruous imagery or effects in art, literature, film, or theater by means of unnatural or irrational juxtapositions and combinations. I imagine that the use of Surrealism in theatre is what connected the dots for me on the current political state the US is facing. It is an absolute 'performance.' A 'show' of some horrific kind. A SHIT SHOW. Or it can be the absolute IRRATIONALITY that I see in most of this administration's choices. Whatever it may be... can this surreal nightmare end already!? VOTE BIDEN-HARRIS Nov 3rd!!

AuthorTamar Pelzig pledged to write something every day, even if it's only a word, so she welcomed to the world a daily blog that may, or may not be, of any significance to anyone other than herself. If you found her lil' life lessons, stories, poems and blurbs meaningful to you, well that's f**ing amazing! Comment and share so she can pat herself in the back - she doesn't do that nearly enough. Cheers. Categories
