Today I heard a musical sound that moved my soul so much, that no words could describe it. My mind quieted completely and all I was left to say after a muffled sigh and a shaky 'WOW' was: 'I'm speechless.'
I had no words. Because music, vibrations and sounds are all PRIOR to language, PRIOR to words. And when one hears such a sound reminiscent of ancient civilizations, of an emotional wordless prayer, of primal birth or primal death.... one feels it in the gut, in the brain that existed long before the mind, in the heart that was there way before there was an identity attached to it.
The creator of this magic is Uyanga Bold.
A musical artist who is a master of her craft at a level I have yet to experience before. I was hypnotized by Uyanga as she sang in various languages - giving each culture she visited with her voice such profound level of precision and depth - that I felt like she truly belonged to every world. I had all the chills and all the feels. With her voice - I was transported to other lands, like in a dream. Like in a deeply felt vivid dream.
Here's a taste of Uyanga's incredible work.
Listen first, thank me later.
In April 2020, while experiencing her first ever global pandemic, Tamar Pelzig pledged to write something every day, even if it's only a word, so she welcomed to the world a daily blog to keep her creative writing wheels rolling.
