A WEATHER SPECIALIST would speculate the temperature from this image alone.
A CHILD would look at the snow and see a snowman. Or a snow-woman. Or a snow-mobile.
A CARPENTER would look at the cut log and envision a shelf, a chair, a table.
And I - a PASSERBY - would encounter a moment of random beauty, and snap a picture to make it last forever.
