In Ancient Egyptian mythology, Thoth was the Egyptian god of writing, magic, wisdom, and the moon. Later on, the Greeks declared he was the inventor of astronomy, astrology, the science of numbers, mathematics, geometry, alphabet, reading, writing and more.  Boy, he sure sounds like the hardest-working-God out there.
I've always had a deep fascination with Ancient Egypt. So when I had to name the site you are reading this very moment - Thoth quickly came up in my mind. After all, Thoth, being the 'inventor of writing', has majestically been my buddy, my writing partner, my guide through it.

So imagine my surprise when I ran into a sculpture of him in Venice beach today. Placed randomly, with no apparent explanation (C'mon LA not even a banner!?) among the homeless people, the beach goers and the skateboarders.

Divine intervention? Message from the God himself? A simple 'hello' from my bestie?

Probably all of the above.  And the fact that the moon is gloriously SUPER full tonight makes this random encounter a whole lot sweeter.

If you found her lil' life lessons, stories, poems and blurbs meaningful to you, well that's f**ing amazing! Comment and share so she can pat herself in the back - she doesn't do that nearly enough. Cheers.
