Show me the world
In the palm of your hand The rivers of sorrow The banks of your past The hills that you climbed And the forests you planted. Show me the world Of the life of a man Who was nobody's child Who rose up from neglect. Show me the world In the palm of your hand The mystery of your dreams The maybes of your future The lines left to carve And the dents that have deepened. Show me the world In the palm of your hand And I will read you a poem Of a child that was lost And the man that was found Of a Forgotten past That is buried in the ground Of a future so full of love That one will beg to be part of. Of failures and dreams And all the bridges in between Of a world so unprotected It yearns just to be connected. Show me the world In the palm of your hand And I will hold it close to my heart And never again will it be taken apart.
