When a singer sings, a painter paints, an actor acts, a crafter crafts, or an artist arts --
they have started their process long before. Some started only moments before, others - in the womb. The years of learning, of preparing, of being molded - are all part of THE PROCESS. When the audience buys the album, or sees the exhibit, or cries at the theatre... they experience the result; the outcome; the final ode to the process. The audience may know nothing of the process, they may even be surprised at the sweat and tears, and the years it took, but they unknowingly bow to the process when they experience the artist's work. And the artist knows. Every step of the way, she knows. She knows of the sleepless nights, and the ups and downs, and the challenges, and the joy, the survival jobs, and the rejections, the awards, and the painful resistance, the flow, and the collaboration, and the solitude, and the hopes and dreams, and the failures, and the expectations, and the shortcuts, and the long roads. She knows it all. And in her art, she bows to the process. To all of it. It is all just an ode to the process.
