Art is my luxury to bypass darkness.
The quest to delve into my innocence. The one long forgotten, long ago.... The one that the generic, mundane, bitter, dark outside world often forgets. Suppresses. Hides. Innocence isn't COOL, you see... Innocence isn't edgy. Innocence is a reminder of what we've lost. And art is the way back to see, feel, think, worry and wish like a child would. All we can long for as we age is to grow younger. To remember what we used to know, before taxes and bills and social status and politics and survival took over our imagination. Let me dream while I am awake! Let my innocence wake me up like it used to when I was a child. When I believed in fairies... and in everlasting love... and in dreams coming true... and the goodness in people....Oh, let me believe in people, like I used to, when I was a child. Before people failed me. Before people hurt. Before people left. I choose innocence over cool, any day.
