Lessons I Teach Myself
|
During my beloved The Class workout (which let's face it - works my body hard but works my soul even harder) the teacher-extraordinaire Natalie recited the following mantra:
'What did you need to get, from what you saw?' I'm thinking about the tragic event in the US Capitol, that we all saw. What DID we need to get from it? For some of us - a wake up call, a spring to action, a change of heart. For others, a "I told You So", a vindication, a victorious spring. Or perhaps to some it was the need for harmony and cohesiveness that had risen after what they saw. Or maybe it's not about a need bur rather what do we TAKE from it? Who do we become because or despite of it? And what choice do we make after we finally see the unseen? I am thankful that many are starting to see the writing on the wall. Sure, it's four years too late, and lots of damage has happenned over the last four years and especially over the last year, but as another mantra goes...: 'Better late than never...'

AuthorTamar Pelzig pledged to write something every day, even if it's only a word, so she welcomed to the world a daily blog that may, or may not be, of any significance to anyone other than herself. If you found her lil' life lessons, stories, poems and blurbs meaningful to you, well that's f**ing amazing! Comment and share so she can pat herself in the back - she doesn't do that nearly enough.
