Fraud.
I see you there, Flashing a million dollar smile As if you are screaming for the world to hear that you are happy. But really, It is fear that hides behind it. And shame. And yes, maybe also anger. Fraud. I see you there, On instagram. And on facebook. And tiktok. But no filter will cover the loneliness that you feel Even with that V mark of approval. OR the likes. And the comments. And the follows. Fraud. I see you there, In the mirror, staring back at me, at us Wondering how would it feel to shatter the mirror to pieces To get naked and take off all that make up That makes up for the shame, and pain, and yes also anger. To run free even if that means you won't be smiling at all. But you won't be hiding either.
