You know that person.
You've been ambushed at a party, by the food section, of course, and heard all the yap yap yap yap yap yap yap that you can handle about his cousin, or the amazing yoga cult she's in, or their trip to Costa Rica that should make you drool but really just bores the crap out of ya.
You wonder: 'do they ever breathe in between those long winded sentences that are really, like, REALLY REALLY long?' 'Can I interrupt him now?' 'Or, how about now?' 'GOD WHY CAN'T SHE STOP TALKING!?'
Yeah, you know that person.
Maybe his your father. Maybe she's your great aunt Janet. Maybe it's your best friend from high school that somehow is still a part of your life whether you like it or not. Maybe it's your banker, your car mechanic, your neighbor, your kid even. Maybe it's... you.

I know that person.
I know her quite well. Since birth, actually.  Some would say we are mirrored images actually.
Ya see, I AM her.
I am that big talker that won't shut up telling you about why "we should all move to Portugal because it is the land of wizards and witches but also it's the west coast of Europe you know? And oh. My. God. have you ever had Pasteis De Nata? It's the most amazing thing ever. It's like a pastry, but honestly calling it a pastry won't do it justice. It's heaven on a plate. And fado music is, like, everything I LOVE about music, you know? You have to listen to it, it will change your life."

Now, add to the fact that I'm a BIG TALKER the notion that I am also a KNOW IT ALL and you are really in for a treat. Sigh.

But to put my self judgement aside for a moment (You go girl, I know you can do it, go ahead, off you go now. Beat it!) :
I talk because I have a lot on my mind.
I talk because I want to be heard.
I talk because I believe my voice matters.

In my own perfectionist sort of way - I have perfected the art of talking.
Next in the curriculum? Become a BIG LISTENER.

In April 2020, while experiencing  her first ever global pandemic, Tamar Pelzig  pledged to write something every day, even if it's only a word, so she welcomed to the world a daily blog to keep her creative writing wheels rolling.

What evolved is a collection of short stories, poems, life lessons, blurbs and even a play or two.

If you find her lil' life lessons and imaginative storytelling enjoyable or useful - please comment and share!
