Lessons I Teach Myself
|
Hello poetry.
I’ve missed you. It’s been... a while, hasn’t it? I recall we used to be closer, you and I. We spent long nights together, Do you remember? When I lived by the ocean. We were in my bedroom a lot... like, A LOT. It was you, I, some vanilla tea, maybe jazzy tunes... ah, those were the days. Nothing mattered and... everything mattered. We were both young. SO young. You stayed young. At least, you SEEM young. It’s as if you haven’t changed at all actually. Well, here we are. It is really nice to see you again. Like, REALLY nice. Meeting randomly like this... I’m sorry I didn’t dress up better, I didn’t know you were coming, you know? I’ll put on lipstick next time. Oh stop...really? I’m blushing. You think my lips are ‘red as roses and full like the moon?’ Oh, come now... okay... give me more, I’m all ears. Oh my ears? They are ‘numb to all sounds but the ones of glorious disobedience’ ? Well, that’s... um...I’m speechless. I lost the ability to speak because I’m...well... I’m just excited to see you, I guess... Let’s head to my room. Shall we?

AuthorTamar Pelzig pledged to write something every day, even if it's only a word, so she welcomed to the world a daily blog that may, or may not be, of any significance to anyone other than herself. If you found her lil' life lessons, stories, poems and blurbs meaningful to you, well that's f**ing amazing! Comment and share so she can pat herself in the back - she doesn't do that nearly enough. Cheers. Categories
